I figured I ought to check the Linux side of things. My Linux partition booted just fine. I wrote a blog post about my experiences with setting up a dual boot Vista & Ubuntu (http://www.christophermerle.com/2008/02/23/dual-boot-vista-and-ubuntu/. It was a lot less painful than I thought it was going to be. Vista allowed me to repartition with it's built in tools. Ubuntu's install was pretty straightforward. My only real problem was getting WiFi to work. It works but I consider it to be jury rigged.
